 What is Writers.Work?

Writers.Work is a website that offers freelance writers an all in one resource platform training, tools, and job listings from other freelance websites. The company does not have its own job listings.

Writers.work helps you to become a more productive freelance writer. With Writers. Work you will be able to promote and find work.

What’s inside Writers.Work?

Writers.Work has a list of resources to help freelance writers which include the following:

  • Live listing of writing jobs from various online sources.
  • A list of publications seeking writers for work they want to be done
  • A personal project management system helps you be more organized with your writing projects.
  • A web-based text editor that gives you readability analysis
  • An online portfolio
  • A Writerswork “University”- It has training resources for the new writer.
  • Different features to help you keep track of your work. For example functions for time logging and statistical analysis.

While looking for work with Writer.Work you can set filters in your job search. This can help narrow down your search to specific criteria for you. So you can search by way of salary, job type, keywords, etc. The site also has a feature that will notify you of any new jobs so you can apply for it quickly.

Writers.work also has a feature called Instant Submission Finder, which gives you access to a list of publications that are looking for articles. It gives the description of what they are looking for and what they will pay for the work. They could be very useful for the more experienced writer.

The writing tools Writers.work offers are pretty good. It has a text editor which provides you with a variety of information such as:

  • Readability score
  • reading time
  • grade of reading level for the audience
  • spell and grammar check
  • tracks the time you spend on each document

You can create a portfolio within Writers.work to market yourself using the social media integration the website provides.

How much is Writers.Work?

There are two price options when it comes to purchasing Writers.Work. There is a $15 monthly subscription payment plan. And there is a one-lifetime payment of $47. The website indicates the price of $94 but you will pay the discounted price which is 50% off. The discounted price has been there for a long time. I don’t know why it is called “Early-bird pricing”.

Early-bird pricing is when a product first comes out. This product has been around for a couple of years. Most likely it is just a selling tactic for you to buy now before the price changes. I don’t think it will change anytime soon.

The product comes with a money-back guarantee.

BBB Rating

As I was doing my research I decided to see what the Better Business Bureau had to say about Writers.work. What I found that not great by no means.

As you can see from the image above Writers.work have a C- rating and 2 stars. There have been 17 complaints in the last 3 years. All of the complaints have been answered or resolved but the people complaining did not put the outcome on BBB.

Pros

  • $ 47-lifetime training
  • Website to find various writing jobs
  • Saves you time from searching the internet yourself for jobs
  • A portfolio feature to share your work
  • Build-in writing analyses application

Cons

  • No guarantees to obtain work
  • Only training. No other support.

Is Writers.Work a scam?

If you have read any of my other reviews you would know I don’t like to use the word “scam”. Writers.Work may be a good fit for you. Only you can decide that. It is a resource site for freelance writers. There are no guarantees that you find work. Writers.work links you to jobs that are offered on other freelance platforms.

If you find a job listed on Writers.work you would have to register with the platform where it was posted and bid for the job. Keep in mind there is plenty of competition. These are platforms you can find yourself by doing a Google search.

But in order to save you time from searching for yourself, the one-time payment of $47 may be worth it to you.

Conclusion

There are other ways to make money writing. I am an advocate for working for yourself. Being your own boss. Have you ever thought of starting an online business? You can make money based on your passions/hobbies using writing and affiliate marketing.

Check out my #1 recommendation. It is an online training platform that teaches you how to build a successful online business based on your passions. It is called Wealthy Affiliate. It has everything you need to under one roof. There is a community of like-minded people there to help 24/7, including the owners.

So let’s say your passion is writing. You could have a website for writers. Your website could be the place to go when a writer has a problem/issue. Your site could be the go-to site to help writers with their challenges and you get paid for doing it.

I wish you much success in whatever you decide to do. I hope you found value in this review.
